Movaria Powertrain
bcu-11
The Body Control Unit (BCU) is a critical component of a vehicle, responsible for managing various accessories and systems. It connects to the Powerbus network, supplying 12 V to the entire system. The BCU features a 48-pin Molex connector that interfaces with the vehicle's wire harness. Additionally, it includes an integrated speaker for signal tones and a USB-C connector, which serves dual purposes: charging devices and facilitating software updates for the Movaria system. One of the key advantages of the BCU is its built-in lithium-ion battery, which enables low-power functions, such as activating lights or hazard signals, to operate within the 12 V circuit. This functionality allows these features to work even in the absence of a larger battery, providing up to 10 W of power. Furthermore, in certain systems, the BCU's battery can be utilized to initiate the main batteries, enhancing the vehicle's overall efficiency and reliability.
