Heat Dissipation Unit
Movaria Powertrain
hdu-00
The Heat Dissipation Unit (HDU), commonly known as a "brake chopper," plays a crucial role in protecting the system by converting excess energy into heat. This process helps to mitigate voltage spikes that can occur during recuperation, particularly when dealing with a fully charged, overheated, or unbalanced battery. To enhance safety, the HDU is equipped with a continuous temperature monitoring feature that keeps track of its housing temperature. This ensures the protection of both the unit and its users from overheating and potential burns.
